KAYLA'S DANCE RECITAL

KAYLA'S DANCE RECITAL
This month has been busy, but most pleasant. This is Kayla, my beautiful and talented grand-daughter. This year at her recital, she had four numbers and did beautifully in all of them. She is so graceful now, I can't wait until she gives her Alumni Dance. She's our little Star.

GRADUATION GEORGIA STYLE

GRADUATION GEORGIA STYLE
Sarah, my oldest grand-daughter, graduated this year in Georgia. It was definately hot, but a beautiful ceremony. By the way Sarah is the tall blond in the picture, she's a lovely and energetic girl who has made the choice of joining the U.S. Air Force. I wish nothing but good things for her.

MY NEWEST PROJECT

MY NEWEST PROJECT
It took me quite a while to figure this one out. Made with muslin horses, styrofoam, cardboard, lots of glue and patience. Finished after three weeks of loving work.

FINALLY SUMMER CAN'T BE FAR BEHIND. MY NORTHERN MAGNOLIA TREE HAS FINALLY BLOOMED. THEY ONLY LAST FOR A LITTLE OVER A WEEK, BUT THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AND SMELL SO SWEET, I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO IT. THIS TREE IS SO OLD AND WE REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW MANY MORE YEARS SHE HAS, BUT I'M GOING TO ENJOY IT AS LONG AS SHE BLOOMS.

Yeh, right, "WHEN PIGS FLY"

Yeh, right, "WHEN PIGS FLY"
How many times have you said this? I believe in making things happen that you would least expect. Now PIGS DO FLY.

THE GATHERER

THE GATHERER
I once saw some pictures of the Navahoo tribe and there was an elder that facinated me. Couldn't resist trying to make her.

This is my little dove in the shrub. You can only see her eye, I really didn't want to disturb her with the two little ones under her.

MINATURE DOLL & BEAR SWAP

MINATURE DOLL & BEAR SWAP
This is little "Merry-Pippine "he is going to go live on a farm, lucky duck! The jar behind him is where he lives, very comfortably, I might add. He's a big guy, almost five inches tall and is always peeking out at you. He collects little item, almost like a magpie and you really have to keep an eye out for little misplaced items.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but for some reason one thing after another comes up and I'm off and running. All of a sudden my husband has this urge to sacrifice his golf balls to the golfing gods, so we've gone out and really enjoyed the beautiful links, the wonderful weather and the knowledge that we are going to have to invest in more golf balls. My little dove sits patiently on her nest, kind of reminds me of a little pregnant woman in her ninth month. Just waiting. I can't believe we go in and out the front door and she never looks up, it's almost as though she is in a trance. Other than this, I'm still working on my new project, it's slow, but I'm sure once I've finished I will be satisfied with it. We are also getting things together for our trip to Georgia, for my grand-daughter's high school graduation. Gosh, I can remember her crawling around getting into things, she was always a curious child, and now she is getting ready to enter the adult world, Boy am I old! Have a wonderful, fulfilling day and for all of you with little ones, enjoy them now because they growup so fast.

This week has been absolutely beautiful. I opened the windows and cleared away all the winters ucky air and let the house breath. You could almost hear the old place take a deep sigh. It's been four days of yard work, we have a lot of trees and each one decided to shed. Boy, I didn't realize just how out of shape I was, it has been a solid week of Advil, but whatever works. I started a new project, that is beside gardening, I've decided to make a carousel. I started making the ponies, and I've decreased their sizes, boy I always picture things in my mind before I actually start them, it's called bitting off more than you can chew. Emily had to have surgery again on her paw, poor baby, but at least now she is whoobling a lot better. Goodness knows I'm not carrying a 60 lb. dog around, at least not for long. We also have a dove in our front shrub with two little eggs in there, so everyone has been coming in very slowly and quietly so as not to disturb her, but I sure will be glad when they hatch, especially since the shrub is right at the front door. Can you just imagine a more inconvenient place to put a nest. Well, that's really about all that's new here, Thank Goodness!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S APRIL

We have had some beautiful weather lately, even had a chance to do some yard work. Then today as my husband was reading the paper, he said, "you know it's suppose to snow this week", I can't believe it. For the past week my daffadills have been trying to get big enough to show their little faces, but if it snows, No Daffadills. I'm just going to keep a positive outlook and hope that the weatherman is blowing it out his ear. It was our anniversary this weekend, and we both got a surprise, just as I was fixing a romantic dinner; I discovered the frig just wasn't doing what it was suppose to do, you know cooling. Well, thank goodness it wasn't anything serious and by Monday, I was unpacking the ice chest. I really beginning to believe in Murphy's Law.
